Tim Walz Says Trump Must Release Medical Tests Amid Signs He’s ‘Fading’

The governor told NBC News that the president’s mental state should be serious cause for concern.

Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.) accused President Donald Trump of behaving erratically after a Thanksgiving rant where he raged at the Democrat and called him a slur.

During a Sunday morning appearance on NBC News’ “Meet the Press,” the 2024 vice presidential candidate suggested the president was “fading physically,” and his “mental capacity” should also be serious cause for concern.

In a late Thursday evening rant, the president called Walz “seriously retarded” while falsely accusing him of allowing “hundreds of thousands of refugees from Somalia” to invade his state.

Walz shot back by demanding Trump release the results of an October MRI, a request he doubled down on while speaking to newscaster Kristen Welker on Sunday.

“Here we got a guy on Thanksgiving where we spent time with our families, we ate, we played Yahtzee, we cheered for football or whatever,” he explained. “This guy is apparently in a room ranting about everything else. This is not normal behavior. It’s not healthy.”

Noting how Trump has bucked presidential norms by refusing to share his tax returns and medical records, Walz wondered how the Republican could claim he had “no idea” what his medical test was for.

“It’s clear the president is fading physically,” the governor went on, adding how Trump’s wild midnight rant also suggested he may be dealing with diminished “mental capacity.”

Calling the presidency the “most powerful position in the world,” Walz said it was ridiculous to see Trump “throwing around slurs that demonize our children” when he should be focused on helping the American people.

“He’s not solving any of the problems,” he went on. “So, I’m deeply concerned he is incapable of doing the job.”
